CNR-STEMS
The 20th International Stirling Engine Conference will be held at the Institute of Science and Technology for Sustainable Energy and Mobility (STEMS) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) in Napoli. The venue is located in the Fuorigrotta district next to Maradonas’ Stadium.

Name Badge
For identification purposes and admission to the conference venue and social events, badges are expected to be worn at all times during the conference. The strings of badges are color-coded as follows:
- Regular Registration – Blue
- Student Registration – Green
- Chairs and Program Committee members – Orange
- STEMS Institute attendants –Yellow
- Staff & Volunteer – Orange

Wireless connection is available at conference venue and the account for login will be provided during the conference.
Meals
Coffee breaks and lunches will be served at the conference venue, Room “Biblioteca” located on the Ground Floor close to the Auditorium “Barsanti e Matteucci” (see maps here below).
Dress Code
Smart casual is suggested for academic sessions. Casual and light wear, hat and comfortable shoes are appropriate for city excursion. T-shirt, short pants, sandals are inappropriate for Banquet and Welcome Party.
Public Transportations to the conference venue
ANM is the main company providing public transport services in Naples. Tickets cannot be bought on board and must be stamped at the beginning of the race. Almost all bus lines and Metro Line 1 are served by ANM. A single ride ticket valid on ANM bus and “funicolari” lines costs Euro 1.30. Tickets for a single ride valid on ANM Metro line 1 costs 1.50 Euro.
Ferrovie dello Stato, FS, services Metro Line 2. A different ticket than the ANM ticket is necessary to use Metro Line 2.
Alternatively, the so-called integrated ticket, 90 minutes valid on both ANM and FS, costs 1.80 Euro. Tickets can be bought at Stations, several newspaper shops or Tabacchi shops and also on-line by using apps.
Two metro lines and several bus lines connect the location to the historical city center.
Metro Line 2 (FS) – Stop at Campi Flegreri
Five minutes walking distance from the conference venue.
Metro Line 5 (Circumflegrea) – Stop at Mostra D’oltremare
