International Stirling Engine Conference – Napoli (Italy), June 25-27, 2024
First Announcement
The International Stirling Engine Conference (ISEC) that began in Great Britain in 1982 has grown and flourished over the years. Stirling International Association and CNR STEMS are pleased to announce that the 20 th ISEC, after the edition exceptionally held in 2021, will restart the regular schedule in even year and will be held form 25 th to and 27 th June 2024 in the historical city of Napoli in the south of Italy.
The Conference will put together distinguished professors and researchers from industry and academia all over the world and aim at discussing the most recent advances on Stirling technology.
We invite you to attend the 20 th ISEC and hope you have a great time here while enjoying friendships, having scientific discussions and initiating new collaborations.
Conference venue
Napoli is a historical city in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, with a high touristic vocation. With roots in the pre Greek civilizations, he has been touched by many different cultures (Romans, Arabians, Norman Swabians, Spanish and Frenches to cite the majors), Napoli offers a multicultural experience. Faced on the gulf dominated by the Vesuvius volcano, it is close to other historical sites (like Pompei, Herculaneum, Campi Flaegrei ) and famous touristic locations (Capri, Ischia and Nisida Islands, Sorrento and Amalfi coasts).
Napoli Capodichino International Airport offers flight connections with all the major European cities. High speed trains connect Napoli with all the major Italian cities.

Scientific Program

Stirling International Association and CNR STEMS, in cooperation with the University of Naples Federico II, are pleased to announce that the 20th ISEC, after the edition exceptionally held in 2021, will restart the regular schedule in even year and will be held from 25th to and 27th June 2024 in the historical city of Napoli in the south of Italy.
The Conference will put together distinguished professors and researchers from industry and academia all over the world and aim to discuss the most recent advances in Stirling technology.

Topics and publications
The meeting encompasses and welcomes both basic and applied research, as well as contributions on technical and economical aspects on Stirling Engine adoption for renewable energy generation, refrigeration and specialized applications as adoption in space and extra-terrestrial ones. Contributed presentations, in oral and poster sessions, plenary and special sessions will take place during the Colloquium. Submitted contributions will be peer-reviewed.
